If you are watching the 4K Ultra HD market you’d not be surprised that more and more new models will be coming on stream soon. Come August Toshiba will launching their new 9 Series Ultra HD gizmos to join others that already have a foot in the door.
The new Toshiba 9 series will come in sizes ranging from 58″ to 84″. As you’d expect, prices are not going to be cheap. They will retail for around $5000 for the 58″ to a whopping $17,000 for the 84″. That’s the price of entry if you want to be an early adopter of 4K TV technology. A development in Toshiba’s favor is that Technicolor has certified Toshiba’s steaming media box and Blu-ray player for delivering 4K content.
These TVs come with native resolution of 3840 x 2160, 3D capability powered by its proprietary CEVO 4K Quad+Dual Core Processor that also upscales 1080p HD to near-4K quality. Other specs include a 240 Hz refresh rate, UltraClear Dynamic Noise Reduction, built-in Wi-Fi, and Miracast.
Smart TV has also taken another leap with a new Cloud TV service which Toshiba hopes you’ll use for on-demand services like BBC iPlayer, YouTube and Netflix. You can also browse the web, and access content on other devices, as well as some not so common features like a family calendar and photo album. Your PC might be obsolete soon.
